Punjab Vigilance Bureau has nabbed an A.S.I. Shivdev Singh and Radhe Sham a clerk red handed for taking bribe.Disclosing this, a spokesman of the Vigilance Bureau said an A.S.I. Shivdev Singh posted at Police Station Nabha Kotwali, district Patiala was demanding a bribe of Rs. 5000 from complainant Sandeep Kumar of Jhujhaar Nagar Mohali in lieu of to release his car on sapurdari.Giving details he said the complainant approached the VB and alleged that the above named accused ASI was demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 5000 from him. After verifying his complaint the VB team laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed and tainted money recovered from him in the presence of two official witnesses.
In another bribery case State Vigilance Bureau has nabbed clerk Radhe Sham posted at Improvement Trust Abohar, district Fazilka for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 3000.Giving details the spokesman said the complainant Sandeep Singh approached the VB that clerk Radhe Sham was demanding Rs. 3000 in lieu of change the ownership of a shop in the name of Anita Rani after her husband’s death. After verifying his complaint the VB team laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed and tainted money recovered from him in the presence of two official witnesses.He informed that two cases under Prevention of Corruption Act have been registered against both the accused and further investigation was under progress.
