DDC chairs DLRC meet, calls for maximum thrust on financial literacy & PMFBY

District Development Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar chaired the meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) to review the performance of various banks.LDM S.K Kandroo, Satish Sharma (RBI), Madan Lal (NABARD), Shiv Kumar Pangotra (SBIRSETI), Sanjay Gupta (J&K Bank), K J Raina (SBI), S P Sharma (PNB),R D Sharma (JKGB), Jatinder Mishra (ACR), Rajinder Sharma (DIC), Ramnik Singh (DUDA), Nand Kishore Sharma (Agri), Vikas Kumar (NRLM), Ajit Kumar Sharma (Hort.), Shashi Bhushan (CAHO) and senior officers of various departments, banks, and Reliance General Insurance were present in the meeting .Detail deliberations were held in key areas relating to deposits, advances under priority sector, various government sponsored schemes and lending for the quarter ended March 2017.The District Development Commissioner took a threadbare review of Annual Credit Plan, CD ratio, SC-ST-OBC / KVIB / KVIC / DIC / PMEGP / NULM, NRLM Handloom / Handicraft and emphasized upon banks to expedite cases for linkage under various schemes to achieve  set  targets.DDC impressed upon the banks and line departments to ensure effective coordination in their working. He exhorted that potential under Agri allied activities be tapped fully with focus on Horticulture, Dairy, sericulture etc. 

The house expressed satisfaction over the CD-ratio of 40.08% but stressed to improve it to the maximum extent to achieve national level.The DDC asked the banks to adopt multi level approach to expand their outreach in far-flung areas for maximum coverage under social security scheme like Atal Pension Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana, Jevan Jyoti Yojana, Sukanya Samridhi Yojna and PMFBY (Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bma Yojna).DDC also asked bankers to observe financial literacy week from 5th to 9th June by organising awareness camp.The DDC called upon NABARAD  to extend full support for SHGs, JLGs among other issues. He also asked the bankers to link SHG on priority and achieve 100% coverage under KCC. Earlier LDM S K Kandroo presented the achievements under Annual Action Plan for the year 2016-17 and  informed the house that 340.98 crores have been disbursed under priority sector and 274.99 crores under non-priority sector, as on 31st March. Further, under social security schemes 124002 accounts have been opened under PMJDY, 1938 individuals have been covered under Atal Pension Yojana, 23130 individuals  under Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, 37164 individuals have been covered under Suraksha Bima Yojana and 5310 accounts under PMMY have been opened.
