After to glorious success of its maiden MUN in 2016, Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran to host its 2nd International MUN on 21st and 22nd January 2017. Mr. Christopher Gibbins, Canadian Counsel General Chandigarh will be the Chief Guest to grace the occasion on the inaugural ceremony scheduled to be held on 21st January 2017. The conference will be deliberated on various National and International issues in the wake of its theme – ‘Global Youth Centric Policies.’Model United Nations is an educational simulation and academic competition in which students learn about diplomacy, international relations and the United Nations. CGC International MUN is a unique opportunity to provide unmatched exposure to the youth by using the power of knowledge and international diplomacy to resolve critical issues so as to make the world a better place to live in.The conference is based on the concept that young people make up a significant share of the global population and youth can prove to be an asset if they are trained, educated and provided right skills to become competitive globally.The participating delegates comprising of young students from reputed colleges and universities of India and abroad will deliberate on various national and International issues like – ‘Appointment of secretary general situation in Columbia’, ‘Safety and Legitimacy of Nuclear weapons’, ‘Human right violation in Asia with special emphasis on developing nations’, reviewing economic policy: demonetization, impact of European economy on the world and creation of a special  committee for differently abled. These debates will be monitored by six Committees under their respective agenda and chaired by select members of the Executive Board.
