Secretary Tourism and Floriculture, Farooq A Shah today appreciated the role of Department of Information and Public Relations in providing due publicity to Tulip Festival – 2017 in making it a grand success.In connection with the Tulip Festival, the Floriculture Department today organized the Felicitation Function to give away prizes and trophies to the winners of the festival under various categories and also felicitated various government departments for the help and support they provided for the smooth organization of Tulip Festival – 2017.Applauding the role of Information department, Farooq Shah said that it is because of the dedicated efforts of the department that the festival got wide publicity and proper media coverage throughout the festival days.During the 40-day Tulip Festival, more than 2 lakh tourists and locals visited the Tulip Garden and witnessed varied varieties of Tulips.Secretary Tourism and Floriculture presented a memento to Assistant Director Information, Lal Chand in recognition to the services provided by the Information Department.
