Syed Ali Geelani on Friday condemned state forces for their brutality and while expressing his sorrow for shifting Aasiya Andrabi to Amphala jail, said that PDP and Jan Sangh led regime has virtually turned state into a battle field. Geelani said that state authorities are pushing people to wall and warned administration of dire consequences if such brutalities against civilians are not stopped.Pro-freedom leader said that Aasiya Andrabi is suffering from multiple ailments and is critically ill and shifting her to Amphala would turn detrimental to her ailing health conditions.Geelani strongly criticizing state administration, said that they are following dictates from IB and their brute approach for detainees is quite evident.Geelani warned administration and said if any untoward happens to ailing leader, administration shall have to face consequences.Geelani condemned state forces for their ‘brutality’ and said, that “Unbridled powers vested in them and use of brute force against civilians is of great concern.” Terming use of pellets against protesting students as unjustified, Geelani said that instead of considering the reason & root cause of unrest among students, the use of brute force would further escalate the appalling situations.

Geelani stressed for immediate release of students and demanded stringent action against those erring forces personnel who raided college in Pulwama and other educational institutions.Ridiculing the statement of Arun Jaitley wherein he has said that that India won’t talk with resistance leadership, Geelani said that we have never begged for talks before India nor we are looking for bilateral talks. We will never talk with those following fascist dogma, said Geelani. Despite rigid and obstinate approach of Indian authorities, we will pursue our mission till India and its leaders shun from its rigid approach.Commenting over continuous denial by Delhi, Geelani said their colonial & despotic approach won’t change the historical realities about Kashmir issue nor they can break our resolve or make us to budge. Occupation never lasts long and they may continue forced occupation but it is a temporary phase and must go.Geelani said denial by Narinder Modi or Arun Jaitley, makes no difference, and added that Kashmir issue is much more significant even than their political stature.Geelani said that despite its military might and luring some henchmen, Indian leadership cold not change the discourse of Kashmir issue.Terming Kashmir issue a sore and a cause of uncertainty for people, Geelani said that it is a big hurdle for long-lasting peaceful atmosphere in Subcontinent.Strongly criticizing Jan Sangh leadership, Geelani said that they are blindly following a pointless path leading nowhere & it will obviously lead them to astray and class war. Geelani said there is no guarantee of life and dignity in India and Muslims and other communities feel insecure. (KNS)
