All the Banks operating in district Bandipora have advanced loans to the tune of Rs. 295.76 Crore to 15879 beneficiaries under district credit plan thus achieving 84 percent of the target during the last financial year.This was stated during District Consultative Committee (DCC) and District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meetings held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora Sajad Hussain here today. The meeting was convened to review the progress achieved under the credit plan during last year.Lead District Manager (LDM), on the occasion, informed that Rs. 182.54 crore were provided under priority and Rs. 113.22 crore under non-priority sector in the District. He said that Rs. 252.56 crore was advanced by J&K Bank alone.During the meeting, the DDC stressed for speedy disposal of Government sponsored cases. He asked the banks and sponsoring agencies to work with coordination and cohesion to achieve the goals and targets for development, progress and eradication of unemployment. He said that the people should be sensitized about welfare schemes through awareness camps.Implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes including PMJDY, PMMY, PMSBY, PMJJY, and PMAPY was also discussed in detail during the meeting.The meeting was attended by RBI representative, CPO Bandipora, District coordinators of Banks, Govt. departments and other development agencies.
