Seeking removal of regional disparity and discrimination, Jammu Kashmir Low Paid employees of Public Health Engineering Tuesday staged protest here in Srinagar.Scores of employees carrying placards assembled here in Press Enclave alleged that regional disparity has affected them badly while government has been doing nothing to mitigate their sufferings. The protesting employees said that sanction to the rationalization of pay scales in revised setup of field staff of PHE had been accorded by the government vide order number 74 of 1991. “Sanction was given for 1728 posts in Jammu while in Kashmir the number of posts sanctioned was 2128. Surprisingly the government order was implemented only in Jammu while in Kashmir nothing was done,” the protesters told CNS. The protesters said that they brought the issue into the notice of authorities but nothing was done by the government in this regard. They appealed Government to remove the disparity and implement the order in Kashmir as well. (CNS)
