Governor of Himachal Pradesh Acharya Devvrat on the occasion of convocation of S.D. College Ambala Cantt. in Haryana, today said that convocations should not mean end of learning, rather it was a life-long process to be pursued for betterment of individual, as well as the society.He asked students to dedicate themselves for development and up-gradation of the society and not engage in such activities that were against the values and system. They should not involve themselves in evil conduct and practices instead work for welfare of mankind, he said.The Governor said degrees should not mean material gains through education but lead social and spiritual awakening in themselves. They should acquire skills and spread these to others, as selfless service was true service.Principal, Dr. Rajender Singh read annual report and other achievements of the college.President, S.D.College Shri B.K.Soni, Vice President Dr. Deshbandhu and O.S.D. to Governor Dr. Rajender Vidyalankar were also present on this occasion.
