One day blood donation camp was organized by Red Cross Society in collaboration with District Health Society and Nirankari Charitable Foundation here today.Chief Medical Officer, Dr. K.C Dogra, inaugurated the blood donation camp in presence of Zonal Incharge, Nirankari Charitable Foundation, V. P Singh.In the camp, 140 volunteers from all sections of the society participated and donated blood for the noble cause to save precious lives.Appreciating the initiative and contribution of District Red Cross Society and coordinated efforts of Nirankari Charitable Foundations, Chief Medical Officer highlighted the importance and benefits of blood donation and said that such camps would go a long way to meet the requirement of blood in health institutions. He further called upon the people to come forward and participate in the blood donation camps.Among others, Secretary Red Cross Society, Dr. V.P Sharma, Superintendent District Hospital, Dr. Narinder Bhatyal, ,Sanchalak, Nirankari Mission Udhampur, Rattan Lal, officials of Blood Bank District Hospital and large number of volunteers were present on the occasion.
