Assuring people of a new era in economic prosperity set in motion by the present dispensation, the Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, Wednesday, said that coalition government will leave no stone unturned till the people reap the real benefits of change, which will come only by strengthening the core sectors of development.        The Speaker said this while inspecting under execution lanes and drains and inner link roads in Trikuta Nagar, Channi Himmat and Gangyal areas of Gandhi Nagar constituency today.Saying that the people are the ultimate beneficiaries of good governance, the Speaker stressed upon the authorities that the funds allocated needs to be utilized judiciously in a time-bound manner to ensure holistic and sustainable development across the state.Instructing the officers to strictly adhere to the timelines, the Speaker emphasized upon the need to avoid cost overruns which usually occur because of delays in executing the projects. 

Kavinder said that government is making all out efforts to fulfill the demands of the people, with special focus on providing all basic amenities to the masses of State. “Promise of good and speedy governance being delivered at the doorsteps of the people is top priority of the government” the Speaker added.The Speaker said that the people are the best judges on ground level so they themselves determine their developmental priorities and also monitor implementation of the various works and programmes which are meant to promote their welfare.The Speaker asked the people of Trikuta Nagar to sort out the issues amicably which are hampering the construction of drainage in the area.The Speaker was accompanied by SDM South Sonu Pragal besides concerned officers of PWD, Urban and Housing during the tour.
