Mohar Singh Wala (Jalalabad) , 21 Feb 2014

Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab today termed the Congress party as the biggest enemy of Punjab, its development, sangat darshans as well as democracy in the country which will lead to its ‘political fag end’ in ensuing Lok Sabha polls and decimation of congress was inevitable.Lashing out at Congress led UPA Government for its inimical attitude towards Punjab and its people, the Deputy CM said it would be imperative for country to show the exit to Congress Party for its anti-people and anti-development attitude towards Punjab as it believes in opportunistic politics by throwing away the interests of common masses. Mr. Badal said formation of NDA at Center was need of the hour to witness fastest pace of development since Congress has ruled the country for more than six decades but left the country in the hands of corruption that’s why people believe corruption cannot be eliminated. He said Congress and Corruption was the same thing, which has been following each other since independence and the time has come to brush-aside both from country.“Without leader and policies, the Congress party is in severe crisis facing rampant infighting, indiscipline, which increased corruption manifold and biggest scams by leaving indelible scar on the face of country” said Mr. Badal.

Accusing Congress party for halting justice to the riot victims of 1984 Sikh pogrom, Mr. Badal said if Congress was really worried and having sympathy with riot victims, it should have never been behind the prime movers of Sikh carnage. He said it was the result of Congress aid to culprits of riots that justice has been halting even after for the last 30 years after country’s biggest genocide.  He said by halting the justice the Congress Party was sprinkling salt on the simmering wounds of riot victims for which it would have to pay in the ensuing elections.Reiterating his top priority of development and making state frontrunner in all areas, Mr. Badal said NDA would take the country to zenith of development after coming to power whereas SAD-BJP government has realized massive strides under its ‘development mission’. He said if NDA comes to power the border issues of the state would also be resolved on priority basis including opening of international borders.

Initiating development works worth Rs. 18 crore, the Deputy CM laying foundation stones of modernization of two roads of village Hazara Ram Singh Wala and Santokh Singh Wala besides CC flooring of Aalamke, Dhandi Khurd, Dhani Phulla Singh and Dhani Hazara Singh vis-a-vis Government Senior Secondary School at Jalalabad, Mr. Badal said Jalalabad would be developed as model town with the availability of 100 percent basic amenities. He also heard the issues pertaining to 50 Panchayats and 15 wards of city resolving all on the spot by giving needful directions to concerned authorities.  Deputy CM also approved brick-lining project for all dhanis, which would be started from the next financial year. Prominent amongst those present on the occasion Mr. Sher Singh Ghubaya, Member Parliament, Mr. Satinderjit Singh Manta, constituency incharge and all leadership of SAD-BJP.
