The under graduate (BG) students of Islamia College Rajouri Kadal on Monday staged protest against the Kashmir University (KU) officials for allegedly putting the career of hundreds of students at stake. The final year students including boys and girls assembled at Srinagar’s Press Enclave and urged the authorities to re-evaluate their papers on priority basis to save their future. The 3rd year students from Islamia College Rajouri Kadal said that prior to the final results, the varsity officials have made the evaluation results public, which shows that all the students from the College have failed in E.com and management accounting. “It is totally shocking that all the students from the college have failed in these subjects. This result seems to be a new trend of the varsity officials to mint the money from the students who are now being asked to go for re-evaluation of their papers or to get their Xerox papers,” the students added. They said that the highhandedness of authorities have put the career of hundreds of students at stake. “We believe that something is fishy in the results and we appeal the authorities to go for re-checking of our papers without asking the students to pay for it so that the students could feel a sigh of relief,” they demanded. However, the students later dispersed peacefully.Pertinently, the final year students from Bemina Degree College have also staged protest against the varsity officials in this regard. The students had said that all the students from their college were failed in English subject. The students had demanded varsity officials to take immediate measures in this regard.
