Describing the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections as an opportunity for the people to defeat the fascist forces in the Country, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (President) G.A. Mir, who is contesting Lok Sabha Elections from Anantnag Parliamentary constituency has urged upon the people to ensure the victory of INC NC Candidates with a thumping majority, as their victory amounts to victory of Secular and unifying Force in the State, as well as in the Country.Addressing series of joint INC NC elections meetings in Shangus and Khanabal today, G.A. Mir said this is the high time for the electorates to decide their future which is in jeopardy due to the hidden communal agenda of PDP BJP.Senior NC INC Leaders & Former Ministers Taj Mohi U Din, MLA Gulzar Ahmad Wani, MLC Bashir Ahmad Veeri, Adv Reyaz Khan, Dr. Shafi, Hilal Ahmad Shah, Indu Pawar and others were present.He (G.A.Mir) cautioned the people to remain vigilant as the attempts are being made to divide people to secure votes on the part of PDP, but at the same time, he felt confident that people will not vote for PDP now, as this Party has already betrayed and backstabbed them in 2014 t by aligning with BJP.
This party sacrificed it’s ideology for the sake of power and did not even care about emotions of the people, who voted for them to defeat the RSS from implementing it communal agenda in the State, Mir said.Accusing PDP of misleading people on sensitive issues, Mir reminded the people of the PDPs electioneering in 2014 Assembly Elections and cautioned against the political gimmicks of this party, which has again started befooling people for securing votes from them, he warned that vote to PDP is vote to Communal Forces, who are responsible for insecurity and deep alienation among the people, particularly in valley.He said the unholy alliance between these two parties for the sake of power disturbed the socio-political scenario in the State, as a result, people are feeling unsafe and threatened. He cautioned against the designs of PDP BJP Coalition, which is being run through remote control from RSS Headquarter.I appeal to people to ensure his victory from South Kashmir, as it is the Congress Party alone which stands guarantee to safety, security and development of the people in all the three regions and he (Mir) assured that Congress Party will never compromise on it’s stated position of maintaining integrity of the State.He said people should not forget what PDP has done to them immediately after the Elections Results were out, there were lot of expectations from the PDP, as this party has promised enough, but could not even fulfill a single promise made with the people.
He said PDP which is squarely responsible for the damages caused to life and property in the valley, will not be able mislead people for electoral gains any longer, as the people have realized that PDP can’t be trusted any more, for the fact, this party has made compromises on the urges and aspiration of the people.He appealed the people to ensure the victory of INC NC Candidates, as that will be the massive defeat to forces hell bent upon to damage the secular fabric, age old tradition of brotherhood in the State.Addressing the joint meetings Former Minister Taj Mohi U Din, MLA Shangus Gulzar Ahmad Wani, MLC Bashir Ahmad Veeri, Hilal Ahmad Shah exhorted the people to ensure the victory of Congress Candidate G.A. Mir with a thumping majority, for the fact, he is capable enough to fight against divisive politics anti-people, wrong policies on the part of ruling dispensation (PDP BJP), which is responsible for damages caused to life and property in the entire valley, particularly, in South Kashmir. They said PDP has lost credibility in the entire valley and it will lose both Lok Sabha Seats to INC-NC Candidates (Dr. Frooq Abdullah and G.A. Mir), as the people have decided to punish PDP for adopting double standards and playing with their emotions for the sake of coming into power. (KNS)
