Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta today stated that the role of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) is of paramount importance for getting the culprits booked and at the same time ensuring acquittal of innocent persons falsely implicated.The Speaker said this during the valedictory ceremony of the three day Forensic Workshop which concluded here today.Kavinder Gupta appreciated the Director and officers of FSL J&K for doing yeoman's job and disposing the cases despite limited staff and facilities.He referred to latest incident wherein documents like Permanent Resident Certificates, Aadhar Cards and Ration Cards etc. were procured by illegal immigrants by nefarious means and said that these cases will very soon be referred to FSL by concerned investigating agencies for speedy disposal so that the defaulter and those who have connived with the beneficiaries are brought to justice.The Speaker assured that the genuine demands of the employees of FSL will be taken care of and pursued with Home Department and DGP J&K so that the problems faced by staff are mitigated forthwith.Director FSL Jatinder Singh thanked the participants of the workshop for the successful conduct of the event.The Workshop was attended by the Police officers of the rank of Assistant Sub Inspectors to Dy SPs.Many officers addressed the participants during the three day workshop including Rakesh Hangloo, Masarat Jabeen, Pawan Abrol, Rajinder Singh Jamwal, Masood Sadiq, Anju Khajouria, Narinder Sharma and Suchittra Koul.
