The Director General of Police, Punjab Suresh Arora has constituted a State Level Review Committee (SLRC) under the chairmanship of DGP (Law & Order) Mr. Hardeep Singh Dhillon to review the security provided by the state police to various protectees’.According to an official spokesperson, the other members of the committee would comprise of ADGP Intelligence Mr. Dinkar Gupta, ADGP Security Mr. BK Bawa as Member Secretary and IGP (Special Protection Unit) Mr. Pramod Ban. He further said that this committee would carry out a comprehensive security review of the security provided to constitutional/public functionaries, officers as well as private individuals. The SLRC would submit its report to the DGP with specific recommendations regarding each individual (category wise) by 24th March, 2017.
