The students of Chandigarh Group of Colleges established their academic excellence when the students of M.Tech. (CSE) and (ECE) achieved 100% results in PTU exams all in first division. The first batch of B.Tech Engineering in this college passed out in 2016. The college started in 2012 with a sanctioned strength of 300 students including 120 in CSE & 60 each in ECE, Mechanical & Civil. As many as 289 students have completed their degree in their respective branches within the stipulated period of four years in first division. Consequently, almost all of them have been placed in leading companies of India.Speaking about the success of its students Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that it is a matter of pride for the college to have such an excellent result for its very first batch students. Dr.G.D.Bansal, Director General explained that the motto of CGC Jhanjeri is Academic Excellence & Quality Placements. In order to ensure academic excellence, the college arranges extra classes for the bright students so that they bag positions in the Merit Lists of PTU. Similarly special classes are arranged separately for weak students so that they can get through in PTU exams. With a view to achieve quality placements, a 360 degree Pre Placement Training is given to each student so that all the eligible students are placed before they pass out.
