Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta today inaugurated various completed development works at Preet Nagar and Gadi Garh area in Jammu.The works inaugurated include up-gradation of community pathways and drains at Preet Nagar constructed at a cost of Rs 4 lakh being executed by Jammu Municipal Corporation and tiling work on lane at lower Gadi Garh in Bhour Camp constructed at a cost of Rs 13 lakh by PWD(R&B).On the occasion, the Speaker took on spot assessment of local issues and also toured the area. He was apprised on various issues pertaining to development by residents of the area.People also put forth their demands and grievances before the Speaker including concerns regarding road connectivity, sanitation besides requested for strengthening the existing infra of PHE & PDD.The Speaker gave a patient hearing to problems and demands projected by people and assured them that all their genuine issues will be considered at the earliest.While interacting with the locals, the Speaker said that the Government is committed for overall development of the State and all basic facilities would be provided to public in the form of schools, hospitals and playgrounds.The Speaker was accompanied by officers from concerned departments.
