Two brothers on Saturday were arrested by railway police in Budgam district of central Kashmir along with scrapped currency notes worth lakhs.According to a police official, two brothers namely Farooq Ahmad Labru and Muhammad Shafi Labru were caught by rail police at a time when they were boarding train at Mazhama railway police station of Budgam district.The police official informed that old currency worth nearly 35 lakh rupees were recovered from the duo and were immediately taken into custody. “They are being questioned,” he said. A report said that the old currency notes recovered from the two brothers were worth over rupees 37 lakh.(GNS)
