Police on Thursday claimed to have cracked a case involving pasting of LeT posters in Shopian district calling for shutdown in the south Kashmir district from 26 February onwards.A police officer told GNS police has arrested main accused while hunt for the three other accused has been launched.“On 26th February 2017 many posters of Lashker-e-Toiba(LeT) outfit were found pasted at different places in town Shopian where people were asked to observe  complete Bandh from 26th February onwards and warned people of dire-consequences, if bandh is not observed”, a police officer told GNS.The shopkeepers of District Shopian observed complete bandh on 26th February-2017 because of the threat of terrorist Outfit through posters. Accordingly a case FIR No. 30/2017 was registered in P/S Shopian, the officer said.“During the course of investigation Police and 44 RR called  many suspects for questioning  and during investigation it surfaced that one person namely Faisal Amin @ Chota Geelani S/o Mohammad Amin R/o Bonabazar Shopian alongwith 03 other associates namely Imad Ahmad s/o Bashir Ahmad, Zahid Ahmad @ Pintoo S/o Fayaz Ahmad Sofi and Ubaid Bashir S/o Bashir Guroo residents of town Shopian have conceived a plan to download poster of LeT Outfit from Social Media and paste the copies of these posters in the township to ensure bandh”, the officer said.The arrested persons have approached to one Computer documentation Shop belonging to Muzaffar Ahmad Mir S/o Ab Rashid R/o Rawalpora at Town Shopian and got the LeT poster downloaded from the phone of Imad Ahmad ( one of the suspect) and printed it, he said.Thereafter the group approached a Photostat shop and got the LeT posters photocopied and managed these photo copies of LeT posters  pasted in the town and surroundings during the intervening night of 25/26-02-2017 which created lot of chaos, confusion and disturbance in the District. The three accomplices of  Faisal Amin @ Chota Geelani are evading their arrest, he said. (GNS)
