The Petition Committee (PC) of Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Council met here today under the Chairmanship of S Charanjit Singh and discussed the status of petitions received by the Council Secretariat from various quarters.Legislators Surinder Mohan Ambardar and Ashok Khajuria (Special Invitee) were also present in the meeting.The Committee was informed by the Council Secretariat that as many as five petitions have been received from some individuals and organizations from across the State on different subjects/issues seeking intervention of the Petitions Committee for justice.The Committee examined the petitions and directed the Council Secretariat to seek the factual report from the concerned departments on each one so that the same can be discussed and disposed off as per their merits.
