Social Welfare Board today organized a two-day road show photo exhibition on the eve of International Women’s Day in Srinagar City.The Exhibition was inaugurated by Chairperson of Social Welfare Board Prof. (Dr.) Nirmal Gupta.Executive Director SWB Shahid Mehmood, Principal Government Women’s College M.A. Road Mrs Altaf Shaheen and other concerned officials were present on the occasion.Speaking on the occasion, the Chairperson said that in this photo exhibition cum photo awareness campaign 400 photos of girl child have been pasted along the road side walls with the theme “I am Proud to be a girl” on the eve of International Women’s Day.She said that sex ratio in Srinagar district is in alarming stage and this campaign will also bring a change in the mindset of the people to have a Girl child.
