According to him while some risk factors such as family history, age and sex are factors that can’t be controlled whereas many others can.Incorporating good fats and fiber into your diet, and limiting the amount of sodium you eat are healthy choices. Factors that can put you at high risk for heart disease include unhealthy eating habits, being physically inactive, stress, overweight, smoking, alcohol consumption, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and having diabetes. Knowing what risk factors are preventable, and taking the steps to reduce these can mean the difference of life or death. He further informed that if blood pressure is increasing then one should consult doctor immediately instead of taking risk.
