State Council for Innovations and Technology Udhampur in collaboration with Government Degree College today started basic Course on Computer Concepts (CCC) in the institution.Prof. V.S. Krishna Murthy, Director NIELIT, Jammu was the Chief Guest who formally inaugurated the course and highlighted various aspects of the course.Experts from NIELIT and Department of Computer Science, GDC, Udhampur will impart training to 80 students enrolled in the course.Dr. Sanjay Kharoo, District Coordinator, State Council for Innovations and IT, Department of Science and Technology, Udhampur highlighted the importance of the computer in day to day life and exhorted upon the students to avail maximum benefit from this course.Earlier, the program began with the welcome address by Prof. Romesh Kumar Atri, HoD Botany and Incharge DST sponsored activities in the college wherein he expressed his gratitude to the State Council for Innovations andTechnology (DST), Udhampur for organizing such activities in the college and appealed the students to avail maximum benefit from this course.Prof. S.S. Bhalwal, Principal of the college appreciated the endeavors of DST in sponsoring such useful activities and asked the students to pursue such courses to enhance their skill.Prof. Raj Kumar, HOD Computer Science presented vote of thanks on the occasion.Among others present on the occasion were Prof. Rakesh Gupta, HOD, Zoology, Dr. Veer Singh, Prof. Shelly Kalsi and Prof. Shivani Sharma
