Oakridge International School conducted a session for the students at Chandigarh University familiarizing them to  International Baccalaureate curriculum. As the only school in Punjab that is authorized to this curriculum, a need was felt bring a change in the learning of the next generation of facilitators.Ramanjit Ghuman, Principal Oakridge International School, gave the students an idea of what the curriculum is all about. She started by asking them what they had liked or disliked during their education and was it was not a surprise when the children informed that no one had particularly liked the excessive pressure on cramming material and content. Principal Ghuman later, explained that the curriculum focuses on conceptual understanding and the development of skills. She further took them through a presentation where the students of Oakridge were learning through experience of guest lectures, field visits, expert talk, experimentation and other strategies. According to her education needs a paradigm shift and the collaboration of new and old teachers would definitely help bring this change.
