District Development Commissioner (DDC), Mohammad Aijaz today convened a meeting to review the progress of various ongoing works under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Uttam Singh, Chief Education Officer, Mohammad Sharif, Assistant Director planning, Tehsildars, ZEOs and other officers of various departments.The DDC took a detailed review of physical and financial achievements in various components under SSA. Expressing concern over the slow pace of ongoing works, the DDC placed one headmaster under suspension and directed to with held the salary of entire staff members. Later, DDC directed the CEO to submit a report regarding delay in release of funds to concerned ZEOs and execution of works under SSA.ZEOs were directed to convene village Education Committee meeting and submit the Utilization Certificate of works done.The DDC also instructed the executing agencies to complete all ongoing works in prescribed time. He also directed the concerned to achieve the set targets with optimal utilization of funds.
