A grand “Parents Worship Day” (Matra Pitra Pujan Diwas) has been celebrated at Geeta Bhawan, Parade Ground Jammu on 14th February 2016. The event was organized by Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Parade Ground Jammu. People from various walks of life attended the event with great fervor and deity. Swami Dinesh Bharti Ji was the Chief Guest whereas MLA East Sh. Rajesh Gupta was also present and witnessed the function of Children from all age group i.e from younger to elder ones worshipping their parents and showing their respect and gratitude towards them. Children from various schools also participated in the function.Speaking on the occasion Sh. Dinesh Bharti ji expressed that such events helps creating a sense of responsibility amongst children towards their parents. She said that 14th February called valentine day being celebrated by some followers of western culture started 15 to 20 years back in India but now is being celebrated throughout the week and followed by young generation blindly leading them to nowhere. Such practices shall not be promoted in our country.
,Sh. Rajesh Ji expressed his views and said that this is the country of cultural values and evils of western countries shall be culminated through the practices like “Parents worship day”. Secretary of Sanatan Dharam Sabha Sh. Satpaul Singh Rathore disclosed that we find increasing lack of accord between parents and children.The consequent event and increasing number of resorting to old age home have become the cause of concern. Western practices like valentine day are widening the chasm in this pious relationship and consequently the radianance and vitality of nation’s future generation is being destroyed. Sanatan Dharm Sabha under the aegis of Pujya Sant Shri Asharam ji has given a call to celebrate “Parents Worship Day” on 14 February. The function started at 03:00 pm with vedic mantras. Thereafter sermons from s Shri Bhupinder Shastri ji and Sh. Dinesh Bharti Ji all of them hailed the idea of worshipping parents propagated by Pujya Sant Shri Asharam Ji Bapuji 08 years ago to save the young generation who are falling prey to the hands of malpractices. They added that this helps in reviving high traits of Indian culture. They added youngsters giving flowers to each other arouses feeling of lust in their mind and makes them lose their vital fluids. Consequently they lose in terms of radiance, vitality, lustrousness, health and intellectual faculty and ultimately deprived of their potential in society.
After sermons of saints followed parents worship function in which children worshipped their parents as per vedic ways applied tilak to their forehead and circum ambulated them. Parents too blessed their children for progress in every aspect in their lives. After this The function culminated in the evening. President of Sanatan Dharam . Sabha Sh. Bodh Raj Sharma also expressed gratitude to all presented there and said that if child pays obeisance to the parents rowing them to be equal to god as per scriptural ordinance and getting blessed will never fail in any part of his /her life and also the evils of valentine day can be controlled and thrown out of the country. Sh.
