Three army men and a militant were killed while as seven force personnel received injuries in a gunfight at Hajin area of north Kashmir's Bandipora district today morning.A police official told news agency GNS that a joint team of army and SOG cordoned off Parray Mohalla hamlet of Hajin following specific input about the presence of militants today morning."Soon after the joint team of forces intensified the search operation in the area, the militants hiding opened fire triggering off an encounter", he said.In the ensuing gun battle, three army men have been killed and seven others including Commandant Chitin Kumar of CRPF 45 battalion and Major Thapa of 13 RR received bullet injuries, he said.Later the militant hiding inside has also been gunned down, he said.The official identified the slain militant as Abu Haris of LeT.Meanwhile, stone pelting clashes erupted at many places adjacent to the encounter site including Saderkote Balla and Hajin against the killing of militant.
