NRIs organized 'Umeed Di Goonj Programme across Punjab

The Non-resident Indians (NRIs) who have arrived from all over the world in support of Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) today organised 'Umeed Di Goonj' programme at 7000 locations across Punjab.The NRs held cultural programmes and joined with local people in dancing on Dhol beat. The programme was conducted in 85 assembly constituencies throughout the day, a spokesman of AAP said.Amritpal Singh Dhillon and Manjinder Singh Sandhu NRIs who planned the programme said the NRIs distributed pamphlets giving view point of AAP and claiming that AAP is winning 100 plus seats in Punjab. According to an estimate 35,0000 NRIs took part in the 'Punjab Di Goonj' programme which received tremendous response from public. They said that 2017 assembly elections are begining of 'glorious revolution'.The local residents who joined NRIs spoke on corruption in the SAD-BJP government and hoped that AAP will wipe out corruption and drugs. NRIs assured the people of positive results. The NRIs also promised to bring investment in Punjab from abroad.
