Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal convened a meeting to finalize the arrangements for Beating Retreat to be held at MA Stadium on January 29.The meeting was attended by IGP Jammu, Danish Rana, SSP Jammu, Dr. Sunil Gupta, Joint Commissioner JMC, R S Jamwal, SSP Security Jammu, SSP Traffic, Deputy Chief Education Officer besides officers from Army, PHE, PDD, PWD, Health, Sports Council, Youth Services & Sports, Fire and Emergency Services, Hospitality and Protocol, JKSRTC etc.Divisional Commissioner appreciated all the concerned departments for making Republic Day Celebrations a grand success.
He exhorted upon all departments to work in close coordination so that all necessary arrangements are put in place for Beating Retreat ceremony.Divisional Commissioner directed Police and Traffic Departments to ensure adequate arrangements of security and proper traffic management besides the concerned departments to make requisite arrangements for sanitation, medicare, sitting etc.He also reviewed the preparations with regard to firework display on the occasion.Divisional Commissioner appealed the general public to attend the programme in large number.
