Aam Aadmi Party today (AAP) today told PPCC president Capt Amarinder Singh that his rhetoric to expand Congress  manifesto and bring the petrol and LPG prices in Punjab at par with Chandigarh and 10 percent reduction in power tariff is misleading and meaningless. It would not help him earn the votes.Gurpreet Singh Waraich AAP state convener countered Capt Amarinder Singh on his fresh set of soaps and said that rates of Petrol, LPG and other commodities would be same in all states after GST is implemented in the country.  He said that Capt Amarinder Singh during his five year rule had even discontinued free power scheme for farmers and hiked power tariff for other categories on the plea that previous SAD-BJP government had left the empty coffers.Waraich said that Capt Amarinder Singh was maintaining a conspicuous silence over multibillion scam in the purchase of power from private companies by Badal family.  He said that Sukhbir Badal had forced PSPCL  to sign unfeasible agreements with private thermal plants to buy power from them at fixed minimum rates at the cost of public exchequer.  He said that the government owned thermal plants were shut down to help the private thermal plants.
AAP leader said that while drafting manifesto Congress had paid no heed to welfare of ex-servicemen, police and paramilitary personnel.  Capt Amarinder Singh has now waked up after personnel of armed forces have decided not to support Congress and SAD in the February 4 elections.Wariach said that many Congress leaders are also running transport business and it would be foolishness to accept from Capt Amarinder Singh to reduce the tariff of passenger transport. The transport mafia in the state is run jointly by SAD,BJP and Congress leaders. Capt Amarinder can’t show single statement during last ten years when he had opposed the repeated hike in bus fares by Badal family benefitting transporters of all parties.Waraich said that Capt Amarinder Singh and Parkash Singh Badal are replica o each other and they have always put their vested interests above the people’s welfare. He said that Congress and SAD are in agreement to rule by turn and loot the people.  “Badal and Capt Amarinder have teamed up against AAP to keep the power within them”, he alleged
