District Development Commissioner Shopian, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, today presided over the valedictory function of Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) on culmination of its 18-day entrepreneurship training programme.
On the occasion, the DDC stressed for building a vibrant and enriching entrepreneurial environment in the State and congratulated JKEDI for successful completion of entrepreneurship training programme in which 40 potential entrepreneurs were imparted necessary skills.
He impressed upon the participants to hone their skills to match the market demands and take responsibility of their own employment as well as of others through entrepreneurial ventures.Appreciating the work of JKEDI that has already disbursed almost 80 cases, amounting to Rs 12 crore under Himayat scheme in the current fiscal, the DDC highlighted the importance of training programmes structured for budding entrepreneurs.He said prudent business principles, sound commercial practices, effective marketing strategies, and upgrading skills to latest technology and innovations are need of the hour.It was given out that JKEDI has, so far, disbursed 100 cases under Seed Capital Fund Scheme.
