Terming the filing of nomination and its withdrawal in favour of BJP Candidate at Abohar by Liquor Baron and killer of Dalit Bhim Tank,  Shiv Lal Doda, as “mere drama” of Akalis, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann today said that it shows that BJP has also been hand in glove to propagate liquor Mafia in Punjab.“By hailing the support of the Killer of a dalit Bhim Tank, BJP is exposed for its anti-dalit stand and now time is ripe that the saffron party should come clean on its support to the Liquor Mafia in Punjab, Mann said.Even BJP owes its explanation on the statement of RSS Spokesman Manmohan Vaidya, who demanded abolition of reservation in the country yesterday, Mann said quipping that with what face Akalis and BJP were demanding vote and support from Dalits.Sensing humiliating defeat in the ensuing assembly elections, Akalis and BJP are making their last attempt to save the Mafia by enacting drama of ensuring support of Liquor Mafia Shiv Lal Doda, he added.

It is pertinent to mention here that Shiv Lal Doda is the main accused in the Bhim Tank murder case. Doda and his nephew Amit Doda had allegedly chopped off the limbs of Tank, before killing him brutally.Bhim Tank was murdered at Doda’s farm house days after he left a job in Doda’s liquor business. His limbs were chopped off. While he bled to death on the way to hospital, his friend Gurjant Singh Junta, a witness in the case now, survived after his right hand was chopped off.Reacting on the statement of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal threatening AAP leaders by letting loose his Akali “Gundas” on them (AAP leaders), Mann said “this shows the immense frustration of Badal, who have lost his cool by pre-empting humiliated defeat in assembly polls”.It is not AAP’s instigation but people anger against Akalis, which resulted in the stone-pelting on Sukhbir Badal’s convoy and shoe hurling on his father Parkash Singh Badal, Mann said.
