In view of assembly elections 2017, after scrutiny total 37 nominations have been found valid for all the three constituencies of district SAS Nagar. Stating this District Electoral Officer cum Deputy Commissioner D. S. Mangat said that total 16 nominations from constituency 053 SAS Nagar, 10 nominations form constituency 052- Kharar & 11 nominations form constituency 112- Dera Bassi found valid after scrutiny. He further said that candidates could withdraw their nominations till 21 January.Sh. Mangat said that from constituency 053 SAS Nagar nominations of Sh. Sarabjit singh of BSP, Sh. Jaswinder Singh of TMC, Sh. Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu of SAD, Sh. Narinder singh Of AAP, Sh. Balbir Singh Sidhu of INC, Sh. Amit sharma of Hindustan Shakti Sena, Sh. Krishan Gopal Sharma of Bharat (Integrated) Rakshak Party ,Kishore Pal of Bahujan Mukti Party, Sh. Gurkirpal Singh of Punjab Democratic Party, Balwinder Singh of Democratic Swaraj Party, Mahinder Pal Singh of APP and Independent Candidate nominations of KanwarJot Kaur, Kuljit singh, Parneet singh Pandher, Paramjit singh Padda, and Shubham Sharma were found valid. Whereas the nominations found invalid was cancelled by concerned returning officer.
Sh. Mangat said that for assembly constituency 052 Kharar nominations of Harbhajan singh of BSP, Kanwar sandhu of AAP, Sh. Jagmohan Singh of INC, Ranjit Singh Gill of SAD, Sudesh Kumar of APP, Sh. Surjit Singh of Jai Jwan Jai Kisan PArty, sh. Gurjit Singh of Punjab Democrative Party, Jagwinder SAD (Amritsar), and Independent candidate nominations Sh. Sanjeev Kumar, Paramjit singh Padda found valid. However nominations found invalid were cancelled by returning officer concerned.Sh. Mangat said that for constituency 112- Dera Bassi, Nominations of Sh. N.K.Sharma of SAD, Sh. Gurmeet Singh of BSP,Sh. Amrik Singh of APP, Sh. Dharminder Kumar of Shiv Sena, Sarabjit Kaur of AAP, Sh. Deepinder singh of INC, Manju Kaushal from Smaj Adhikari Kalyan Party and independent candidate nominations of Smt. Geeta Lomish, Sr. Maan Singh, Sh. Ram Rattan & Vinod Kumar Sharma were found valid. Whereas the nominations found invalid were cancelled by returning officer concerned.
