Stating that ruling partners Peoples Democratic Party and Bhartiya Janata Party are not on the same page over several issues, National Conference General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar Monday said that he was shocked to hear from a BJP member that ‘every issue between PDP and BJP is fixed and there is an agreement that one some issues PDP will maintain silence while BJP will do the same on some issues,” Sagar told news agency CNS adding that the unity between PDP and BJP is symbolic only.“You will not believe that one of the BJP legislators told me that every issue between his party and PDP is fixed. There are contradictions and yet to run the government they compromise on certain issues. In the House PDP says compensation will be awarded to victims families of Kashmir unrest while outside, BJP opposes this decision. These parties are poles apart and there is nothing common in them,” he said.Responding to a question, Sagar said that PDP is under tremendous pressure from BJP that doesn’t want a judicial commission to be set up to probe into the killings in Kashmir. “A judicial commission should be set up to fix the responsibility and the victims families should be awarded compensation,” he said.
