Rahul Gandhi wants to get rid of Amrinder by pushing him in to Lambi-Parkash Singh Badal

The Punjab Chief Minister  Parkash Singh Badal today said that he had been amused by  "the smart ploy of  Rahul Gandhi  to get rid of the Captain Amarinder Singh by pushing him into Lambi  as everyone knows Rahul does n't  like him."Mr Badal howver added that he knew that Captain would try "to play to the gallery with false bravado which everyone in Punjab is familiar with. But we are fine with his antics."In Punjab, we are seeing opponents of Akali Dal trying to settle their intra-party rivalries by pushing their  rivals into  Akali strongholds. Earlier, We saw how Arvind Kejriwal smartly maneuvered Bhagwant Mann and other major AAP leaders into Akali strong-holds. Rahul seems to have followed that pattern with Captain. Rahul has done to Captain what Captain used to do to his junior rivals in then party in the past."Mr Badal said that the Congress has been facing all kinds of allegations of Captain being non-serious in this fight. So, this could  also be the  last ditch desperate measure of the Congress to gain some semblance of credibility in the on-going elections. "The move reminds one of the last throw on the dice of a losing gambler in which he stakes even the honour of his house in order to reclaim his losses. But we all know what happens to such desperate gamblers."Mr Badall however said that as a good host, he would "welcome Captain Amarinder SIngh with open arms and would enjoy his presence. But I hope he goes back with his security intact."
