District Development Commissioner Niraj Kumar convened a meeting of district Health Society to review the physical and financial progress made under National Health Mission.The DDC also reviewed the progress on implementation of PC& Pre- natal Sex Selection/ Determination Act and IPPI programme.While speaking on the occasion DDC stressed on better coordination among various departments for better implementation of the welfare programmes. He stressed the need to gear up the field functionaries for creating awareness among people to increase institutional deliveries.
DDC directed the concerned agencies to complete the ongoing projects in the health institutions in a time bound manner to improve health facilities.Chief Medical Officer apprised the meeting about the preparedness of the NHM team for the Pulse Polio Immunization campaign in the district.PO-ICDS Rakesh Badyal, Ex-Ens R&B, PHE, PDD, District Panchayat Officer, Sandeep Seointra, District Social Welfare Officer Rachna Sharma besides BMOs, and representatives of various NGOs were also present in the meeting.
