DDC visits Kangan, inspects developmental works

District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Tariq Hussain Ganai, today visited various areas of Kangan Tehsil and inspected various ongoing developmental works there.During his visit the DDC inspected progress of Wussan Bridge, Degree College Kangan and various other ongoing developmental works.Executive Engineers of R&B, PMGSY, PHE, SDM Kangan, CEO Ganderbal and other concerned officers accompanied the DDC.While reviewing pace of work on under-construction Wussan Bridge being executed by PMGSY at an estimated cost of Rs 2.93 crore which connects Wussan to Baela Wussan, the DDC said the project bears significant importance for connecting various areas of wussan and will give respite to a large number of populace.He directed the officials of executing agency to expedite the construction work and ensure its completion within stipulated time.The DDC also took a detailed review of the work on Government Degree College Kangan being executed by R&B Department at an estimated cost of Rs 8.24 crore. He directed authorities to strictly adhere to the quality norms and complete the ongoing project at the earliest so that classes can be started at the institute from the coming session.Later, the DDC inspected PHE scheme Kangan and Water Testing Laboratory Kangan as well and reviewed facilities there.
