Motor Vehicle department in collaboration with Traffic Police organized a rally in connection with 28th Road Safety Week here today on the theme "Your safety, secures your family, be cautious on road".The rally was flagged off by District Development Commissioner Bhupinder Kumar. Additional District Development Commissioner Narinder Singh Bali, ARTO Zubair Ahmed, DSP Traffic , Education Department, students of various schools, drivers and Automobile Dealers were also present on the occasion.Deputy Commissioner while addressing the participants exhorted upon them to wear crash helmets and seat belts as a safety measure and follow the traffic rules strictly.Later a motor rally was flagged off displaying banners regarding safe driving.Road safety week celebrations will be spread across the week and different activities including debate competitions, medical camps, joint checking with traffic and district police will be the salient features of the road safety week.
