To take stock of progress of revenue department Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Aijaz today convened a meeting of revenue officers, here.Meeting was attended by ADDC Ravinder Nath Sadhu, ACR Vevaik Puri, SDM Banihal Vikas Verma, SDM Gool Mohammad Bashir Loan, Tehsildars and Niab Tehsildars.The DC directed the Tehsildars to hold regular meetings of Tehsil level officers of all departments for providing better services and time bound delivery to the people. He also stressed upon the officers for further follow up meetings with their field functionaries and local people in order to develop the quality of work culture and immediate disposal of necessary communications and pending issues.He directed the SDMs and Tehsildars to handle emergency in current rainy and snow season and keep an eye on condition of NHW in coordination with agencies responsible for maintenance. He also reviewed arrangements being put in place by local administration for accommodating the passengers in shelter sheds setup along the NHW in case of closer of roads or other natural calamity.The DC discussed several issues of revenue department and passed directions for improving functioning and progress of the department. Officers were instructed for early completion of land acquisition cases, preparation of Jambandi, relief cases, attestation of mutations, and safety of dreda latha and updation of record.
