Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today dared the state Congress President Captain Amarinder Singh to dare a single achievement of his previous government before misleading the people by imaginative nine point agenda.Interacting with the media persons on the sidelines of Sangat Darshan program in Bathinda (Rural) assembly segment here today, the Chief Minister said that there was not even a lone reminiscence of Captain's regime, which was marked by his inaccessibility and epicurean nature. He said that Punjab reached its lowest ebb during Captain's rule and now he was trying to befool the people by such gimmicks. Mr. Badal said that people of state were wise enough to judge that Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were empty vessels while state has witnessed unprecedented development during last one decade of SAD-BJP alliance rule.Lashing out at Captain for distorting the facts, the Chief Minister asked him to resist from making frivolous complaints to Election Commission. Mr. Badal said that the false complaints being made by the state Congress Chief reflects his mounting frustration due to massive wave in the support of alliance government. He said that the alliance was all set to create history by forming government in the state for third consecutive term.Replying to another query, the Chief Minister said that before seeking support for his party from people of state, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Mr. Arvind Kejriwal must explain them that why his government has taken stand against interests of state on Satluj Yamuna Link (SYL) canal issue in Apex court. He said that as a native of Haryana Mr. Kejriwal was making every effort to benefit his mother state that too at cost of interest of Punjab and its people, which could not be tolerated at any cost. Mr. Badal said that both the Delhi Chief Minster and his party were anti - Punjab and anti - people.

On another query, the Chief Minister said that Kejriwal & Co. were free to field any of their ‘top gun’ from the Lambi assembly segment. Mr. Badal said that anybody was welcome to test the waters from this segment but one thing was sure that people of state would trounce every candidate pitted against SAD-BJP alliance not only Lambi but from across the state. He said that people of state were solidly behind the pro-people and development oriented policies of the alliance government and would reject any person with an anti-Punjab agenda.Addressing the public gatherings during Sangat Darshan at Sangat Mandi, Kot Shamir and Balluana, the Chief Minister assailed the Congress and AAP for promoting politics of opportunism by shamefully encouraging mass scale defections in order to satiate their lust for power. Mr. Badal said that nothing good could be expected from these parties who were bereft of any ideological commitment. He cautioned the people that if both these parties get power in state, by mistake, then it would be disastrous for the state and its people.Quipping on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister said that he was having scant knowledge about state and could hardly differentiate between wheat and paddy crop. Mr. Badal said that the Delhi Chief Minister was neither well versed with Punjab's geology and topography nor with state's polity. He impressed upon the Punjabis to out rightly reject both the Congress and AAP which were envy of the development of the state and prosperity of its people.

Listing the major initiatives taken by the state government, the Chief Minister said that the SAD-BJP alliance government has supplied free power to the farmers of the state at a cost of Rs 5000 crore annually in last ten years to bail them out from agrarian crisis. He further said that Punjab was the only state in the country to provide Atta-Dal scheme to the weaker sections adding that it was also the only state to ensure free treatment for fatal diseases like Cancer and Hepatitis C. Mr. Badal said that the state government has started first of its kind scheme to provide interest free crop loans worth Rs 50000 to the farmers besides providing Health Insurance to people under Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Beema Yojna.Prominent amongst other present on the occasion included Akali leader Mr. Amrit Rattan Kotfatta, Press Secretary of District Shiromani Akali Dal Dr. Om Parkash Sharma, Special Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr KJS Cheema, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ghanshyam Thori and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr Swapan Sharma.
