Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari, today chaired a meeting to review developmental scenario of Pattan Constituency.On the occasion, District Development Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Naqash briefed the Minister about physical and financial achievements made under various sectors in the Constituency.Chief Engineers of PDD, PHE, R&B, Joint Director Planning Baramulla, CMO Baramulla, CEO Baramulla, ACD, SDM Pattan, Executive Engineers of PMGSY, PDD, PHE, R&B, Heads off various Departments, and other concerned attended the meeting.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister directed the concerned to speed up the pace of developmental initiatives in Pattan Constituency and called for proper upgradation of existing infrastructure and   time-bound implementation of new welfare programmes.

While reviewing work on Parihaspora, Gund Khawja and Check Sultanpora water supply schemes, he directed the officers of PHE Department to ensure safe drinking water is supplied in the area by undertaking proper augmentation of the already existing water supply schemes, besides proposing new water supply schemes which can be pursued with the concerned authorities. Mr. Ansari also directed the officers of R&B Department to ensure macadamization of various roads and link roads for better road connectivity in the constituency. He called for timely completion of Yadipora Hyder Beigh via Nallah Palpora to Wanigam road, besides upgradation of Pattan Trikolbal Hanjivera road. He stressed for judicious and full utilization of funds earmarked under R&B sector. He said that better road connectivity is must to give impetus to the trade and economy related activities.

While reviewing works under PDD sector, the Minister directed the officers to ensure proper augmentation of the electrical infrastructure and supply of power as per schedule in the constituency. He said that works under schemes like RAPDRP, PM Developmental Package, Deen Dayal  Uphadhay Grameen Jyoti Yojana etc should be implemented in letter and spirit.He directed the CMO Baramulla to ensure newly constructed PHCs of Pattan constituency work properly to the benefit of locals. He said that funds will be released for the remaining work of Trauma Hospital at Pattan, which would be made functional soon.He asked the CEO Baramulla to ensure winter coaching facilities, so that poor students who cannot afford private coaching may avail its benefits.  He also desired that Super 50 initiative of Chief Minister should be started soon.While reviewing sports infrastructure in the constituency, he directed time bound completion of works under Youth Service and Sports Department. He said that sports related activities are must for overall personality development of the students.
