Underlining the need to make the youth of the state to be equipped with latest skills in terms of technology in order to help them being in tune with changing trends, the Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today announced that 1 skill training center would be established after every 5 villages. He also divulged that these skill centers would provide top notch skill training to over 10 lakh youth of the state during the course of next 5 years who would also be given interest loans up to Rs. 10 lakh so as to enable them to start their own ventures thus making them self reliant.Interacting with the media-persons here on the occasion of sangat darshan of Malout constituency, the Deputy Chief Minister further said that during next 5 years, all the 12000 villages of the state would be equipped with CC flooring besides clean drinking water and sewerage facilities leading to their development on the pattern of urban regions. Outlining his vision for the poor sections of the society, S. Badal said that PUDA would construct 5 lakh houses in the colonies to be established in villages of the state.

Coming down heavily on Congress especially PPCC President Captain Amarinder Singh, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the tall promises of former Chief Minister would fall flat on his face because the people of Punjab have seen through the devious game of congress party which would bite the dust in upcoming assembly polls with Captain Amarinder’s Chief Ministerial ambitions being dashed to the ground. Pooh-pooing PPCC Chief’s claims of providing good governance, S. Badal asked that why Captain Amarinder could not do that in his previous tenure. Branding Captain Amarinder as the biggest mafia, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the way one after another scam with horrendous details came out regarding captain’s tenure clearly indicates that Captain and his cronies were only after acquiring riches at the expense of the state.  Castigating AAP, the Deputy Chief Minister said that it is a bunch of irreligious people who do not care for the sentiments of any section of society and who have absolutely no knowledge of the great cultural and historical heritage of Punjab.

Calling SAD-BJP the only pro-people government in the annals of Punjab, S. Badal said that the SAD-BJP alliance government under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal looked after the interests of poor and weaker sections, farmers, labourers and traders which is amply clear from measures such as Free Health insurance for farmers and traders, free power worth 200 units to SC-BC households, Free power to the farming sector, and tackling the problem of water-logging plaguing the region. The Deputy Chief Minister also elaborated that the police is speedily investigating the Kapurthala acid attack case and would take it to the logical conclusion as no one guilty would be spared.Earlier, the Deputy Chief Minister distributed development oriented grants worth Rs. 12 crore to the 52 village panchayats of the Malout constituency. He also said that the rest of the tickets for the assembly polls would also be announced soon.On the occasion, MLA and SAD candidate from Malout Darshan Singh Kotfatta, Chairman Punjab Agro Dayal Singh Kolianwali, SAD District Co-ordinator Avtar Singh Vanwala, Deputy Commissioner Sumit Jarangal, SSP Gurpreet Singh Gill,   Chairman Market Committee Basant Singh Kang, Ex- President MC Muktsar Mitt Singh Brar, ex-MLA Baldev Singh Ballamgarh, Member Women Commission Veerpal Kaur Tarmala, Heera Singh Charewan and Navtej Singh Kauni (Both SGPC members), Nippy Aulakh, Jagtar Singh Brar, Lappy Innakhera and Robin Bhagsar were also present.
