The Shiromani Akali Dal today mocked the claim of the PPCC Chief Capt Amarinder Singh that his  9 point agenda is sacrosanct and said that he is not trustworthy as he can’t keep his words. In a statement released here today, the SAD Spokesman and advisor to Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that it is the actions of any human being which decide the image of the person. He said that  he had betrayed the people during his first stint as CM during 2002-07. He said that what he had promised during 2002 elections, he did the opposite when he assumed the responsibilities as CM. He said that as such people have  realized that he is not a man of commitment and can’t keep his words, thus he cannot be trusted any more.Mr. Sirsa said that it also very amusing to see that his 9 point agenda  carries items which are beyond  the jurisdiction of a Chief Minister.

Such  as waiver of farm debts is not in the jurisdiction of any Chief Minister and he himself was part of delegation led by AICC Vice President Mr. Rahul Gandhi who met Prime Minister Mr. Narinder Modi seeking loan waiver for farmers, as such how can he claim that he will waive of farm loans. He said that some promises made in the agenda are already implemented in the state by the SAD-BJP government and he hardly has anything new to offer. He said that in such circumstances calling his agenda as sacrosanct is like demeaning the word itself. The SAD leader advised the former CM that instead of resorting to blame games, he  should accept that the SAD-BJP combine had done a great job during the last 10 years, which he had not done and also could not do. He said that as such it will be better for him to accept defeat even before the start of the  formal electioneering as the people of the state have already made up their mind to mandate the SAD-BJP combine to govern the state for third consecutive time to take it to new heights of development of the state and welfare of the people.
