Valley Students Return From National Tour

Back from what they termed as an extraordinary experience, the students from border areas of Pattan, Tangmarg and Wogur tehsil could be seen interacting excitedly amongst themselves and with their family members who had come to the flag in ceremony.The 10 days long tour was scheduled from 16 December 2016 to 25 December 2016. The tour was primarily to create a perception in the minds of young students pertaining to availability of opportunities and facility for higher education in the country .This tour also gave the students an exposure to the rich cultural heritage of our country. The tour instilled a sense of nationalism amongst the youth and it also brought them abreast to the development taking place in the country. The students were taken to various premier education hubs like, IIT Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia University, Army College of Medical Sciences and Pathways International School, Gurgaon. 

For the corporate sector exposure, they visited Dell International Office at Gurgaon, Radio Mirchi FM Radio Station, Hotel Lemon Tree and Asia’s biggest, Ambience Mall. To further enhance the capabilities, places of national interest like Akshardham Temple, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple and India Gate at Delhi were also visited. While interaction, students were seen full of enthusiasm and were eager to share their newly acquired knowledge and exposure. Their experience would certainly help them in shaping their future as impressed by many students.Commander Haiderbeig  Brig Shabih Hayder Naqvi also urged these budding minds to further share their experience with friends, siblings in school and villages. Such tours are a periodic event organised in order to spread awareness amongst the Kashmiri youth.CO 29   and other officers were also present on the occasion.
