To groom sports culture among the youth, Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu today organized its annual athletic meet. The Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Culture, Tourism, Horticulture, Floriculture and Parks, Priya Sethi was the Chief Guest on the occasion.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister highlighted the importance of extracurricular activities, games and sports in healthy life style and applauded the rich legacy of academic excellence of the school.The Minster said that these activities bring all-round development of the students and appreciated the efforts of school management for providing a platform to the budding talent.Priya said that sports is developing and becoming more professional and events like this draw great interest among young talent inspiring them to compete at national and international levels.The Minister also gave away sports excellence awards to meritorious students of the school for their year round performance in various sports and games.Principal DPS Ruchi Chabra, teachers, students and their parents were present on the occasion.
