Additional District Development Commissioner Anuradha Gupta today chaired a meeting to review the implementation and achievement of Annual Credit Plan 2016-17 during District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Consultative Committee (DCC).Lead District Manager apprised the meeting that bank deposits of the district had grown at a rate of 4.04% to Rs 29572 crore upto ending September 2016 and advances by Rs 295 crore to Rs 8785 crore registering a growth of 3.09% . Priority sector lending to the tune of Rs 678.73 crore was made during the period registering an achievement of 15.20%.It was also informed that the district has recorded progress under Social Security Schemes with 70140 cases in PMJJBY , 149038 cases in PMSBY and 6359 beneficiaries in APY. It was further given out that that 4448 Mudra loans amounting to Rs 100.63crore has been sanctioned under various categories of Shishu, Kishore and Tarun of the scheme.
The chair was also informed that 174 awareness camps have been organized in the district for creating awareness regarding credit linkage with focus on digital literacy, social security schemes and children’s account. While taking a serious note of the poor CD ratio 29.70% as against benchmark of 60% set by RBI together with lower achievement in education (4.08%) and housing (5.07%) ADDC directed the banks to draw a realistic action plan for reaching the benchmark.ADDC also asked the concerned to record and submit data for other schemes namely AASRA, Ladli Beti, State Marriage Assistance Scheme and Hunar for better quantification and resultant improvement in the schemes intervention at grass root level. She also reviewed performance of banks under various government sponsored schemes being implemented by DIC, KVIB, KVIC, NULM, NRLM, Handloom and Handicraft.Expressing satisfaction over disbursement of MUDRA loans ADDC asked the concerned banks , RSETI and allied departments to work in tandem for initiating area development schemes incorporating MUDRA loans and ensuring maximum training to youth for setting up self employment ventures.
