Terming the “Sukhvilas” hotel project of Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal is ‘illegal’, Spokesman of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Sukhpal Khaira today vowed that once voted to power, AAP would scrap this illegal project.“AAP will not only scrap the illegal project of Sukhvilas, but also force the Badal family to cough up Rs 30 crore, which they diverted from the public ex-chequer to construct illegal roads towards their seven star resort”, Khaira added.Addressing the media here today, Khaira said that Badals have looted the wealth of Punjab and amassed their huge properties and promoted their businesses be it transport, hotels, cable, mining and liquor trade.To benefit and development their own seven star hotel, Badals deliberated promoted New Chandigarh project and even carpeted a stretch of 2.8 KM illegal road from Siswan T-Point to village Pallanpur to cut the short the distance of Hotel to Airport, Khaira said.He said that the whole project is illegal and it violates all environment rules set by the constitution of India, which came into fore by RTI wing of AAP.
A complaint was made to central ministry of Forest and Environment in this regards, which took serious note of it and sought an explanation from Punjab Government on this, Khaira said.AAP demands inquiry by a sitting judge of Punjab and Haryana High court. AAP government will set up a commission to look after the cases of irregularities of Badals.
While terming the Badal government is anti-farmers, Khaira said adding that farmers are holding dharnas in front of Akali ministers and killing themselves but government is apothecial towards their demands.Saying that number of suicides of farmers are increasing day by day, Khaira said another farmer identified Darshan Singh had committed suicide in front of Punjab Finance Minister Parminder Dhindsa residence and it was not suicide but murder by government due to its apathy towards farmers.AAP leader said as on date there is 1,03,000 crore Debt on Punjab and AAP is determined to wave off debt of farmers till December 2018.Reacting on the high-headedness of Akalis, Khaira said close aide of CM Badal, Dyal Singh Kolianwali threatened AAP workers and tried to disturb the preparations of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s proposed rally on December 28.AAP volunteers would not bowed down under any pressure and rally at Lambi would be held as per schedule, he added.Touts of Badals like Kolianwali will be brought to books for their illegal trade of Sand, Real estate, liquor etc after 2017, Khaira said.
Khaira said nine bills passed in 35 minutes in special session of assembly on Monday was a joke witth the people of state.“Government violated its on 2011 Act which says that no bill specially related to finance should be passed before six months of elections”, AAP leader said adding that it was another attempt by SAD-BJP to befool the public by committing fraud with them, as if Akalis would have been serious about the poor plight of employees, why they did not pass such bills at the beginning of their tenure and why the protesting employees were canecharged, when they were demanding regularisation of their jobs?AAP favours regularization of jobs but not in the way Badal govt has done as it has many technical hurdles and Election Commission must take notice of the fraud which Akalis have committed with employees of Punjab Government, Khaira said adding that AAP has already mentioned in its manifesto that contractual system in govt jobs would be abolished and regular jobs will be provided to the youth.
