KC Gurukul celebrates annual day function

The K C Gurukul Public School Paloura celebrated its annual day function with great enthusiasm at Zorawar Singh Auditorium, here today.Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat was chief guest and Chief Secretary, B R Sharma was guest of honor on the occasion.The function began with lighting of ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries and Saraswati Bandana.The students presented a glittering assortment of dances, songs and other theme based cultural items highlighting the patriotism, nationalism, rich heritage and nation’s diversity that left the jam packed audience spell bound. The portrayal of nature by the tiny toddlers mesmerized the gathering.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the annual day function is a joyous occasion for teachers, students and parents that provides them an opportunity to get together and see the live performance of the students in different forms. He appreciated the performance of the students in different extracurricular activities and said that this is the result of hard work by both parents and teachers. He emphasized the need for close coordination between teachers and parents for the overall development and nurturing the future of the children.

Lauding the role of the KC Group of Institutions, the Minister said that with the dint of hard work and spreading quality education, the KCians have achieved many milestones in the field. He hoped that the KCians will continue to strive for further promoting the pious cause and help the society with quality education. He said education is key to the development of the society and nation, and government was focusing on improving the infrastructural facilities and quality of education in government schools. During the past over one decade the education scenario has improved tremendously in the State, and there are healthy trends of competitiveness amongst the students, who have excelled in different fields at the national level, said the Minister.On the occasion, the Minister and Chief Secretary released the school news letter “Round Robin” and distributed prizes amongst the meritorious students who excelled in different activities.Principal KCGPS, Ms Banashrii Bijoli Barman presented the annual report of the school.Prominent among those present on the occasion included, Chairman, KCGPS, Arvind Mahajan, Principals of different schools, prominent citizens, parents and others.
