Dy CM inaugurates ICT Lab; Lays foundation of new classrooms at Billawar

Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh today said that providing good governance to the people in most transparent and accountable manner is the hallmark of the present government. He said the government has initiated reforms in all vital sectors like Health, Education, R&B and stress is being laid on ensuring equitable development. Dy CM said this while inaugurating ICT (Information & Communication Technology)  Labs and laying foundation stones for construction of additional classrooms at various government schools at Billawar, Kathua today.While addressing the students, the Deputy CM said that computer education is a must in 21st century and to learn the latest technology, ICT Labs will play significant role. He also said that this will bridge the digital divide amongst students of various socio-economic and other geographical barriers. ICT Labs provide opportunities to secondary stage students to mainly build their capacity on IT skills and make them learn through computer aided learning process, the Dy CM added.

Dy CM further added that sky is the limit for students and they should work hard to achieve success. He also said that the Government is bound to provide better infrastructure and knowledge domain to bring about radical changes in education scenario.To further strengthen and augment, the present education scenario of Billawar the Dy CM inaugurated ICT Labs at Government Hr. Sec. School Nagrota, Government Higher Secondary School Bhaddu and Government Model Higher Secondary School Ramkot. He also laid foundation stone of 3 class rooms costing Rs 10.14 lacs at Government Higher Secondary School Nagrota, 7 classrooms with ramp costing Rs 92.12 lacs at Govt. High school Makwal and 5 class rooms costing Rs. 10.14 lakh at Govt. model higher secondary school  ramkot.
