A meeting of the Committee on Public Undertakings (PUC) of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held under the Chairmanship of MLA, Sat Paul Sharma here today to discuss the CAG Audit Paras pertaining to the Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation (JKPDC).The Committee members Mohammad Akbar Lone and Vibodh Gupta gave their suggestions for improving the working of the Power Development Corporation. The Committee discussed CAGs Audit paras pertaining to the Corporation including unplanned execution of RMU Project of Ganderbal Power House, delay in execution of works of Power Projects and Non-payment of labour cess among others.The Committee asked the Corporation to take all necessary steps to speed up the pace of work on all ongoing projects. Commissioner Secretary, Power Development Department, Dheeraj Gupta briefed the Committee about the overall functioning of the Corporation, besides response of the corporation to the CAG’s Audit paras.Managing Director, Jammu Kashmir Power Development Corporation, Shah Faisal besides senior officers of JKPDC, CAG and Assembly Secretariat were also present.
